ABOUT US

Jambo,

My name is Esosa, which means “Blessing from God”.

My family came to the United States from Addis Ababa Ethiopia when I was only six years old with my two older brothers.

E-Minors is an engaging, forward-thinking and innovative platform with a vision: telling children about the beauty of diversity and educating them to grow into respectful, clever and well-rounded individuals!

My mom is a nurse and my dad is a businessman, who sells parts for computers. My mom trained as a nurse at Adama General Hospital, and we came to the US so that she could go to medical school. All of my family is Ethiopian Coptic Christian, and my country is one of the oldest Christian countries in history.

Ethiopia is a very large and mountainous country in the northeastern part of Africa. It does not touch the ocean. There are over 90 million people in my country, making Ethiopia the most populous landlocked country in the world, and the 2nd most populated country in Africa.

Would you like to see more of Addis Ababa and Ethiopia?

When I came to America, I was very surprised that only a few people knew anything at all about Africa. Many people think that Africa is one country, but it is not.

Ethiopia is only one of 53  different countries in Africa. Africa is huge.

My parents and those around me have always taught me that Encouragement is one of the most important things you can do to help people, and I try to practice this everyday and everywhere I go. Encouragement can take people from bad places to good places. It can make all the difference in success or failure. Encouragement is a game changer.

I want to encourage you to keep following me and the other E–Minors to learn how to use the superpower of Encouragement.
